--Name--- Takahiro Kondo Google scholarC Web of Science, ORCID: 0000-0001-8457-9387 --Biography-- Dr. Takahiro Kondo is a Professor at the Department of Materials Science, Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Tsukuba, and Director of the Hydrogen Boride Research Center. He also holds a Specially Appointed Professor position at the Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR), Tohoku University. Dr. Kondo received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tsukuba in 2003 and conducted postdoctoral research at RIKEN for four years before joining the University of Tsukuba faculty in 2007. His research centers on the synthesis and application of novel boron-based two-dimensional materials, with a particular focus on hydrogen boride (HB) and boron monosulfide (BS) nanosheets. By developing new materials and concepts, his work contributes to solving critical issues in energy, environment, and resource sustainability. In recognition of his scientific achievements, he was elected Fellow of the Japan Society of Vacuum and Surface Science in 2022. Dr. Kondo's pioneering studies on boron-based functional materials are paving the way for next-generation energy technologies, and his contributions are widely recognized in both academic and industrial communities. --Study-- Creating New Materials for Contributing Carbon Neutrality Chemical Physics and Physical Chemistry Surface Science and Reaction Dynamics Two-dimensional Materials Catalysts Boron Chemistry --Publication-- Publication List |
