Electrochemical Microdevice for Highly Sensitive Detection of Proteins Based on Coulometry Coupled with Metallization

My research purpose is to develop the electrochemical sensor for protein detection. The detection of protein is possible by integrating the fabricated device with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. The sensor used a plug-based system to minimized the consumption of ELISA reagents. High sensitivity in the device is achieved by using the one-electrode system and coupled it with metallization. This system is powerful to reduce the background signal and enhance the sensitivy of the device. I hope this system could be applied for the point-of-care testing in the future.
