Public Transportation Information
Express Bus from Tokyo Station

First, take an express bus.
Departure from Yaesu South Gate at Tokyo Station to Tsukuba Center
80 round-trips per day (Kanto Tetsudo Bus/Phone: 0298-52-5666)
(about 65 minutes)
Next, take a local bus.
Departure from Tsukuba Center to "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh" (Central of University of Tsukuba)

JR Jyoban Line
(also take a bus or taxi at each station close to University of Tsukuba)

Get off at the following stations and take a bus:
Get off the train at Hitachinoushiku Station and take a bus bound for "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh" at East Exit of the station (Kanto Tetsudo Bus/Phone: 0298-22-5345).
(about 40 minutes to "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh")
Or,
Get off the train at Arakawaoki Station and take a bus bound for "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh" at East Exit of the station (Kanto Tetsudo Bus/Phone: 0298-22-5345).

Or,
Get off the train at Tsuchiura Station and take a bus bound for "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh" at West Exit of the station (Kanto Tetsudo Bus/Phone: 0298-22-5345).
(about 35 minutes to "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh")
Or,
Get off at the following stations and take a taxi:
From East Exit of Hitachinoushiku Station to University of Tsukuba (about 25 minutes)
From West Exit of Arakawaoki Station to University of Tsukuba (about 25 minutes)
From West Exit of Tsuchiura Station (about 20 minutes)
Car

Take Jyoban Highway.
Get off at Sakuratsutiura interchange and turn left toward Tsukuba.
Turn right at Sasagi crossing and take Kendo 55 (Higashi-Ohdohri).
Go straight and turn left at "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh Iriguchi" (Entrance to Central of University of Tsukuba).
Arrives at "Chuoh Jiyuh Chuhshajyo" (central park area) (total distance: 15 kilometers).
Or,
Take Route 6.
Go north on Higashi-Ohdohri and pass Sasagi crossing (go straight).
Turn left at "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh Iriguchi".
Arrives at "Chuoh Jiyuh Chuhshajyo" (total distance: 15 kilometers).
Airplane

Narita Airport
From Narita Airport to Tsukuba Center by bus (100 minutes)
From Tsukuba Center to "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh" by bus (15 minutes)
Or,
From Narita Airport to JR Hitachinoushiku Station by bus (80 minutes)
From JR Hitachinoushiku Station to "Tsukuba Daigaku Chuoh" by bus (40 minutes)
Or,
From Narita Airport to Ueno Station by Keisei Sky Liner (60 minutes)
